I was tasked with designing new logos and branding for General Implement Distributors® (GID) white-label products. Given the current product categories under the General® brand—hay equipment, sprayers, and diggers—I created branding that not only reflects these offerings but is also versatile enough to extend to future partnerships and product lines.
The HayMaker brand is tailored for our hay bale products, beginning with the white-label hay fork attachments. The name is intuitive and easily expandable to encompass other hay-related products as GID’s lineup grows.
CropGuard perfectly encapsulates the essence of General® Sprayers. Designed for pest control, weed control, fertilization, irrigation, and disease management, this brand name conveys protection and care for crops, aligning with the equipment’s purpose.
For PTO-powered diggers and augers, TerraTorque was an ideal choice. The name not only fits the existing earth-moving equipment but is also adaptable for future white-label products in this category.
Each logo is presented in four variations: Color, Chrome, Positive Monochromatic (Black), and Negative Monochromatic (White). At their core, these logos feature simple, clean designs that do not rely on excessive effects or embellishments. This simplicity ensures that each logo maintains its integrity and impact whether displayed in full color, in chrome, or in monochromatic formats. The selected colors for the logos further enhance their distinctiveness, helping to build brand equity for each product line over time.
