Designing the next-generation General Implement Distributors® (GID) Equipment Catalog allowed me to implement dynamic styling and innovative concepts that transformed the catalog into a versatile and engaging resource. A key enhancement was the integration of QR codes for each product entry, a feature designed to bridge the gap between print and digital media.

These QR codes provide readers instant access to multimedia content, detailed specifications, and product options by linking directly to OEM websites. For instance, when a product is discontinued, scanning its QR code seamlessly redirects users to the OEM’s replacement product webpage, ensuring they can always access current and accurate information. During development, this feature was rigorously tested when vendors replaced multiple products, and the QR codes consistently delivered the intended results—validating the concept’s reliability and value.

The redesigned catalog layout incorporates clean, modern visuals and prominent placement of QR codes to encourage interaction and enhance reader engagement. By combining the tactile benefits of print with the versatility of digital media, the catalog extends its relevance and usability over time, positioning itself as a future-proof tool for dealers and customers seeking up-to-date product information.

This project reflects my ability to integrate innovative design solutions and multimedia elements into traditional formats, creating a resource that supports GID’s product lines, enhances user experience, and facilitates efficient product exploration.
