The redesign of the business cards for General Implement Distributors® (GID) and the divisions of Arnold Machinery Company—Mining, Construction, and Material Handling—was a project that balanced creativity, functionality, and cost savings.

The previous cards were printed on expensive linen stock using offset-press production, costing $73.00 per set of 500 cards. I modernized the approach by switching to more cost-effective card stock and utilizing digital printing, reducing the cost to $42.00 per set—a 42.47% savings.

The updated design featured captivating imagery tailored to each division, showcasing flagship products to make the cards visually impactful and aligned with the company’s core industries. I also integrated QR codes into the design, allowing recipients to instantly access division-specific websites or save contact information with a simple scan.

This redesign improved the cards’ aesthetic appeal and added practical, forward-thinking functionality. The new business cards received overwhelmingly positive feedback from employees and stakeholders and became one of the most requested pieces in the organization.

This project exemplified my ability to deliver thoughtful, strategic design solutions that achieve creative and financial goals.
